Join us for a 2 Day spectacular event celebrating our Autumn Gala, on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th October 2024.

OUR STEAM AND DIESEL GALA WILL BE TAKING PLACE ON SATURDAY 26TH & SUNDAY 27TH OCTOBER 2024.

For this event, all available RH&DR steam locomotives will be in service plus Shelagh of Eskdale - which is on a long-term loan from the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway.

Also joining the Romney fleet are St Egwin from ‘The Valley Railway Adventure’. Who will also be joined by, Anne and Soony from ‘The Perrygrove Railway’. 

Highlights include:

• Solo St Egwin running around the railway throughout the weekend

• Anne & Soony shuttles at New Romney

• Night Running

• Double and triple headers

• 28-mile solo non-stop Hythe – Hythe (Saturday)

• Mini Beer Festival at New Romney station

• End of the weekend finale with all available steam locos from Hythe – New Romney

Keep an eye out on our website nearer the Gala for our ‘Public’ timetable. A ‘Enthusiasts’ timetable will be released online a few days before the gala and provides detailed locomotives and coach set workings.
