The Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway is totally unique.

You can hire our licensed room for your ceremony (80 guests), charter your own train (120 guests) and include our special Heritage Carriages, request anything from Fish & Chips to Silver Service dining, live music to a disco or just enjoy our peaceful location on the Romney Marsh. Plus, our Play Park at New Romney station will certainly keep your young guests entertained.

A WEDDING WITH A DIFFERENCE

Our Wedding Co-ordinator is available most days to meet with you and discuss your choices in-depth. She will then be able to provide you with an itemised quotation and if you decide to proceed with your booking, she will remain your point of contact throughout the process. Plus of course, our dedicated team will be there on the day to ensure that you and your guests have only the happiest of memories to treasure.

LICENSED CEREMONY ROOM

The Heywood Conservatory at New Romney Station is licensed as an “Approved Premises” with Kent County Council. We are therefore licensed to hold Civil Marriage and Civil Partnership ceremonies in the Heywood Conservatory.

The Heywood Conservatory can seat up to 40 guests but, with the edition of our second, adjoining conservatory, that number can increase to 80 seated guests in total, or more if the couple are happy for their guests to remain standing (in adjoining section only).

CATERING

Our commitment to offering you a bespoke service means that when it comes to your catering requirements, your options are quite diverse. You can choose to serve your guests anything from Fish and Chips (including a “take away” service) to a Hog Roast, All Day Breakfasts to Buffets, Fine Dining to a Picnic on the beach!
